President

A Warm Welcome From Our President

From looking at our website, you will see that we are not a typical Rotary Club! We are a relaxed group of local men and women (aged 25 – 65) who, in addition to living own lives, work together to make other people’s lives better. We do this as a group within the world-wide family of Rotary International, a voluntary organisation which is unique, in the combined resources it can bring to bear on problems anywhere in the world. In so doing, we aspire to work at the highest ethical standards in an atmosphere of dedicated service, not forgetting to have the maximum fun and fellowship at the same time.We are one of the newer clubs within Rotary District 1120, and as we enter our fourth year, I believe we have been doing a fantastic job of raising money for and awareness of a wide range of local, national and international projects. These have included buying Shelter Boxes; raising money for Five Talents micro-finance organisation; supporting the Skylarks choir for the People with Parkinsons; and funding a local group of young people in Thanington to go kayaking and rock climbing in Kent. As a club, we enjoy doing good things of which we can all be justly proud!

A breakfast club enables busy working people to come together for fun, fellowship and service without disrupting the normal working week. Please join us one Wednesday morning and find out for yourself what we and Rotary are about – I am confident you will be warmly welcomed and will learn why 1.2million Rotarians around the world meet for fellowship and to help make the World a better place.

Kindly email me and I will book you in for breakfast.

We all look forward to meeting you.

Yours in Rotary,

Steve Charman.
